Electron microscope

We know that a microscope is used to see the structure of cells. But if we want to see internal organs and bacteria we must need an electronic microscope. The electronic microscope was an essential tool in the discovery of bacteria that cause diseases. Scientists, Francis Crick and James Watson made one of the most important discoveries of the 20th century – the structure of DNA, the material which makes up our genes.

MRI scanner

Today commonly we use the term MRI scan but actually, this is called nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). In 1950 Felix Bloch discovered a strong signal. At the time Felix Bloch realised NMR could be used to examine the inside of human bodies. This idea is used to help today’s development of medicine and it was very helpful to detect all problems in the human body.

X-Ray machine

Roentgen was discovered X - ray. Roentgen suddenly discovered X-rays because he was passing a high voltage through a vacuum tube when he noticed it sent out visible rays. These rays would leave traces on a photographic plate. Roentgen was excited and named that ray X-rays (unknown) which are now we are using for many other medical purposes.

Endoscope

The endoscope was the thinking of a medical student named Heinrich Lamm. In 1930 he got the idea of using glass fibers to examine the inside of the human body. For a long time, the medical field fitted a miniature camera to the endoscope. Now a day’s endoscope is a vital part of a surgeon’s examination and operating equipment.
